How it works

A practical inventory for the supplies you already have — and a clear list of the gaps you choose to fill.

1. Set your household. Choose the number of people and days in Household. This sets a water baseline, not a survival score.
2. Add your supplies. Record names, quantities, units, and optional date labels. Equipment can have a last-tested date and check interval.
3. Choose your targets. Set desired amounts for non-water supplies. Cans, kilograms, boxes and other units stay separate; we do not add incompatible quantities.
4. Keep it honest. Use Consume when you use supplies and Replenish when you restock. Mark equipment tested only after checking it.
5. Take your list. The shopping list shows gaps against your targets plus your household water gap. Print it before a store trip.
6. Back it up. Export a JSON backup from Household. Import validates the file and asks before replacing existing data.

Find coupons and offers

Choose Find Coupons, type one keyword, or select a shopping gap. The app prepares safe outbound search links to Target and Slickdeals and includes a Target Circle offers hub. It does not display verified live coupons or promise a discount. Check availability, eligibility, expiry and final price at the retailer. Only your selected keyword is used; no automatic purchase or sign-up occurs.

Water is a special case

Water entries in US gallons or liters count toward the household water total. 1 US gallon equals 3.785411784 liters. Bottles, packs and other units are not assumed to contain a particular volume. For volume entries, the water shopping gap comes from your household settings, not each water entry’s desired amount.

Dates are reminders, not safety verdicts

The tracker flags past dates and dates within the next 30 calendar days. Product date labels have different meanings. Follow the label and authoritative product guidance. Equipment reminders use the interval you set; a missing last-tested date counts as due.

Private, simple and local

Guest inventory stays in this browser. Optional member accounts save household and inventory on the server for access across devices. There are no email reminders, barcode scanning or background notifications. The front-page examples and interactive demo are clearly labeled and separate from saved inventory. Guest data is imported into an account only after explicit confirmation. Date reminders appear when you open or use the app. No content updater is necessary for user-maintained inventory. Account storage requires the running backend service.
